Donate Your Birthday

We would love you to help raise funds for Vegans Against World Hunger. One simple way of doing this is to ask your friends and family to donate money to us instead of buying you gifts for a special occasion such as your birthday, anniversary or even your wedding!

Organise A Fundraising Event

We’re looking for people to organise fundraising events in the future. All fundraisers must be vegan, for instance, if you hold a bake sale, everything you sell needs to be vegan and if you hold a raffle or a quiz night, all the prizes need to be vegan. Please get in touch if you have an idea for a fundraiser.

Vegans Against World Hunger is completely volunteer run. Whether you can offer a few hours as a one-off or can commit to a number of hours regularly, whether you’ve got bundles of experience or not we need your help. Please get in touch to register your interest.

As well as helping a great cause, meeting like-minded people and gaining valuable experience, we’ll provide you with a reference.

To be considered for a volunteering role with VAWH you must be a committed vegan and be committed to VAWH’s values, vision and mission, as an equal opportunities organisation our aim is for our volunteer pool to reflect the local and global community in all other respects.

Where there is a closing date it will be stated, all other roles will stay open until we have found the right people.

We only require volunteers in the UK; if you’re looking for volunteer opportunities abroad please check out our Projects page.

Current and Future Volunteering Opportunities

We are currently seeking a number of new trustees to help us move forward. Our trustees are responsible for controlling the administration and management of the charity. Trustee board meetings are held four times a year, normally in the South of England – due to Covid-19, trustee meetings are currently being held on-line only. We particularly welcome applicants who have previous trustee experience or expertise in one of the following areas: international development, charity governance, law, finance or income generation. Successful applicants will have a high level of personal integrity, be able to demonstrate good, independent judgement and decision-making skills and have the ability to understand and accept the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship. For full details, please refer to the Trustees Role Description and Person Specification. To apply, please email us your CV and a cover letter outlining why you’re applying and how your knowledge, skills and experience match the requirements of the role. The closing date for this role is 31st July 2020.
